Sarah earned her title as Doctor in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine). She is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) in the State of Illinois and is board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (Dipl.OM) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Sarah began her career as a registered nurse, a background that has allowed her to bring a genuinely holistic perspective to her practice. After discovering her passion for natural, non-invasive healing, she went on to pursue her degree in East Asian Medicine. She believes in using the art of East Asian Medicine to promote the body’s own ability to heal itself, focusing not just on the symptom but on the whole body.
Sarah tailors each treatment to the individual using the modalities of acupuncture, guasha, cupping, moxibustion, and motor point stimulation. She has broad experience in promoting wellness and treating a wide range of conditions including, but not limited to, women’s health issues, fertility, pain, anxiety, depression, headaches/migraines, and insomnia. All treatments are rooted in Sarah’s passion for restoring wellness, inspiring balanced living, and revitalizing the spirit through East Asian Medicine. Outside of True North, Sarah enjoys cooking, yoga, and destination hikes.
